Central Luzon State University

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) is located in the province of Nueva Ecija in the Philippines . It is considered an important educational institution in the administrative region of Central Luzon . The university has four locations, which cover a total area of ​​approx. 17 km². The main campus is advertised as a sight on the island of Luzon by the Department of Tourism . The university is an internationally renowned research institute in the fields of agriculture and forestry . 10,643 students enrolled at the university in the second semester of 2011. It is considered one of the three central universities of the Philippines in both research and training areas, the other two being Visayas State University (VSU) and Central Mindanao University (CMU).

Locations

The university is divided into four locations in the following municipalities :

  • The Central Luzon State University headquarters is located in the Science City of Muñoz , and covers an area of ​​6.58 km². An approximately 10 km² outdoor area for field studies is located in Carranglan . On the main campus of the university are the Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation, Institute for Information Systems, Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Management, CLSU Testing and Evaluation Center, Center for Educational Resources Development and Services, Center for Central Luzon Studies, Regional Science Teaching Center, Center for Tropical Mushroom Research and Development and the National Service Training Program.

Faculties

The Central Luzon State University houses eight different faculties , these are divided into higher education and technical school areas, as well as vocational training in colleges and laboratory high schools. There are also three general education schools in the university's organizational system. These are College of Agriculture, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business Administration and Accountancy, College of Education, College of Engineering, College of Fisheries, College of Home Science and Industry, College of Veterinary Science and Medicine. Every semester around 10,000 students are taught in the individual training programs.

history

The history of the university began on April 12, 1907 when the Central Luzon Agricultural School (CLAS) opened. This was transferred to the Central Luzon Agricultural College (CLAC) on December 31, 1950. On June 18, 1964, the college was awarded the title of university and Central Luzon State University (CLSU) was formed. The three Laboratory High Schools were established in 1979 and are subordinate to the College of Education.
