The Tarlac State University (TSU) ( Filipino : Pambansang Pamantasan ng Tarlac ) is located in the province of Tarlac in the Philippines . It is a state university and is considered a major educational institution in the Central Luzon administrative region . The university has three campuses , the Lucinda, Main and San Isdro campuses, all located in the major city of Tarlac City . The main campus is located on Romulo Boulevard, Barangay San Vicente. The university has an external campus in Hong Kong , in the People's Republic of China .

The university is a member of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific, the Asia University Federation and the International Association of Universities. Every year over 12,000 students enroll in the university's individual training courses and seminars.

Faculties

The Tarlac State University is home to various faculties , these are divided into higher education and technical school areas, as well as vocational training in colleges . These are the College of Business and Accountancy, Arts and Social Sciences, Computer Studies, Engineering, Education, Nursing, Education, Technology, Fine Arts, Architecture, Graduate Studies, Laboratory School, Human Kinetics and Science. Tarlac State University - Laboratory High School is affiliated with the university.

history

The university's history began in 1906 when the Tarlac Trade School opened. By 1931, the training programs were expanded so that it was merged with Tarlac High School. After the Second World War, the Tarlac Trade School was separated again from the high school. In 1959 the Tarlac Trade School into Tarlac School of Arts and Trades (TSAT) was founded on the initiative of the MPs Constancio Castaneda and Jose Roy. In 1965 the school was given college status and the Tarlac College of Technology (TCT) was established. In 1974 the college gave up its agricultural sector and the Tarlac College of Agriculture in Camiling was established. At the same time the Laboratory High School on the Lucinda Campus was established. On October 13, 1989, the Tarlac College of Technology was awarded university status.
