Saint Mary's University (Bayombong)

The Saint Mary's University is located in the municipality of Bayombong , in the province of Nueva Vizcaya in the Philippines . It is considered one of the most important educational institutions in the Cagayan Valley administrative region .

Faculties

It houses nine different faculties , which are divided into higher education, technical school and vocational training. These include the School of Accountancy, -Arts & Sciences, -Business, -Education, -Health Services, -Public Administration & Governance, -Computing Sciences, -Engineering & Architecture and the College of Law. There are around 250 graduates at these faculties every year.

Saint Mary's University continues to house a secondary school and a high school, which together have 2000 students.

history

The history of the university begins in 1928 when St. Mary's Elementary School opened. The expansion of the school began in 1934 when the high school area opened. After the Second World War , in 1947, the educational program was expanded to include the college area, so that the first graduates in the areas of Bachelor of Science in Commerce, (1951), Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, (1955) and the Graduate School, (1962), could be recorded.

With the expansion of the training programs , an extensive expansion program for the university began in 1968 as part of the state development program to modernize the Magat Valley . The Gomburza building was inaugurated in 1971 and the D hall in 1972. This was followed by the Gym Auditorium (1981), Chapel Library Building (1983), new Elementary Central Building (1985), High School Science Building (1986), Elementary Central Annex (1990), new High School Building (1992). In 1995 the college was elevated to the rank of university and enabled the expansion of the faculties. The further expansion of the infrastructure included the College of Law Building (1996), Hantson Hall (1998), Institute of Science and Mathematics Building (1999), St. Joseph's Inn (2001), Sacred Heart Center (2002), High School Building ( Phase I) 2003, and Balay na Alumni (2003).
