Brooke's Point is a Filipino municipality in the province of Palawan . The township was founded on June 28, 1949 from the Brooke's Point parish. Brooke's Point was named after its founder James Brooke . Twenty kilometers from the community, in the southwest, is the Ursula Island Game Refuge and Bird Sanctuary in the Sulu Sea, well-known among birders .
There is a campus of Western Philippines University and Palawan State University in the community .
