Quezon is a Filipino municipality in the province of Palawan , in the administrative region IV-B, Mimaropa. It has 60,980 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 14 barangays . It is classified as a first income class community in the Philippines and as partially urbanized .
The topography of the municipality is characterized by mountainous terrain. Parts of the Mount Mantalinganhan Protected Landscape are on the territory of the municipality. In the southwest of the municipality are the Tabon Caves , in which the remains of the first people who settled on Palawan were found. Their neighboring communities are Aborlan in the northeast, Narra in the east, Rizal in the west, Brooke's Point and Sofronio Española in the south.
There is a Western Philippines University campus in the community .
