Aborlan is a Filipino municipality in the province of Palawan .
The place Aborlan (Baranggay Poblacion) lies in a large plain between the Sulu Sea and the mountains 69 km southwest of Puerto Princesa . The borough of Aborlan is bordered to the northeast by Puerto Princesa and to the southwest by the boroughs of Narra and Quezon . In the southeast is the Sulu Sea, in the northwest the South China Sea . The municipality is largely located on the island of Palawan, the island of Malanao and some smaller islands also belong to the municipality.
The place was founded in 1910. The municipality was founded from the municipal district of the same name on June 28, 1949.
Aborlan is the only place in Palawan Province with an agricultural college, now known as Western Philippines University .
