Paola Capriolo

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paola Capriolo (born January 1, 1962 in Milan , Italy ) is an Italian writer and translator.

Capriolo was born the daughter of a painter and a theater scholar. After graduating from high school, she began studying philosophy, which she did not finish and devoted herself to writing. Her works, which often oscillate between reality and fantasy, address the dualism between art and life and the experience of the (self-) alienation of their protagonists.

In addition to her literary work, she writes for the features section of Corriere della Sera and translates German literature into Italian.
