Paolo Jannacci

Paolo Maria Jannacci (born September 5, 1972 in Milan ) is an Italian musician who is active in both jazz and pop .

Career

Enzo Jannacci's son embarked on a musical career at an early age. He learned piano and music theory at music school and at home, and from 1988 began to appear as an arranger, music producer and accompanying musician (on piano, accordion, bass and drums). He later continued his education at the Como Conservatory . In the course of his career he has worked with prominent representatives of the Italian music and theater scene, including Dario Fo , Paolo Conte , Francesco Guccini , Ornella Vanoni , J-Ax , Roberto Vecchioni and not least his father. He has been involved in several film and theater soundtracks and has appeared on various television programs. He has conducted the orchestra of the Sanremo Festival several times .

Jannacci released his first own album in 1999 under the title Notes . This was followed by six more albums by 2019. The musician won the Targa Tenco three times as a producer , twice for the song of the year ( Lettera da lontano 2002 and L'uomo a metà 2003) and once for the best dialect album ( Milano 3/6/2005 2005) - always in collaboration with his Father. For film songs he was also nominated for a David di Donatello and a Nastro d'Argento in 1992 and 2007 . In 2011 he presented a biography of his father, Aspettando al semaforo .
