career
As a player
Paolo Tramezzani was under contract with Inter Milan from 1989 , but was loaned to AC Prato , Cosenza Calcio and AS Lucchese Libertas . From 1992 he played again at Inter, where he won the 1993/94 UEFA Cup . He was then loaned to AC Venezia and AC Cesena . In 1996 Tramezzani moved to Piacenza Calcio in 1919 and in 1998 to Tottenham Hotspur in England . In 2000 he returned to Italy and played for AC Pistoiese , Piacenza Calcio, Atalanta Bergamo and Aurora Pro Patria , where he ended his active career in 2008.
As a trainer
His greatest coaching success was as assistant coach of the Albanian national soccer team at the 2016 European Championship . During the winter break of the 2016/17 season , Tramezzani took over FC Lugano as coach. Thanks to a strong second half of the season, he led the team from eighth to third place, which meant direct qualification for the Europa League . After the past season, he left Lugano at his own request, despite the contract until 2019. In June 2017 he signed a two-year contract with FC Sion , which also plays in the Super League , but was released again in October.
