Papadopoulos ( Greek Παπαδόπουλος ) is a Greek family name.
Like all names that end in -opoulos, the name comes from the Peloponnese , but is a very common family name throughout Greece and is therefore occasionally found abroad. It is a variant of the name Pappas , literally translated the name means "son of the priest".
