Gregor Otto Papadopoulos
Gregor Otto Papadopoulos (born April 13, 1973 in Munich ) is a Greek-German concert and opera singer ( baritone ) and singing teacher .
Life
Gregor Otto Papadopoulos was born in Munich as the son of a German mother and a father from the Greek Peloponnese and is the great-nephew of the former Greek politician and agriculture minister Jannis Talaganis (Γιάννης Ζέβγος) and the great cousin of the Greek painter Dimitrios Talaganis ( Δγάμήτρας . He soon got vocal and piano lessons and studied from 1993 to 1999 at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in his hometown, where he will be in 1999 exams graduated in professional stage singing. Musical studies a. a. with Urszula Mitrenga-Wagner and with Greville Rothon, a student and confidante of the great Chilean pianist Claudio Arrau . The singer went on tours to Austria, Spain and Italy while still a student. In autumn 2010 he sang the role of “Papageno” in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera “ Die Zauberflöte ” for the first time in a staged performance series at the Puchheim cultural center . He recorded the opera “Alcandors Spiegel” for the German composer Max Märkl . The voice of Gregor Otto Papadopoulos, a baritone with a more lyrical character, is characterized by musicality and vocal beauty.
Singing teacher
The singer has also made a name for himself as a singing teacher and voice trainer . He leads seminars and workshops for singing across Germany and has several teaching assignments for voice training .
