Papyrus 79 (after Gregory-Aland with Sigel 79 refers) is an early Greek copy of the New Testament . This papyrus manuscript contains some parts of the letter to the Hebrews . The remaining text includes verses 10: 10-12, 28-30. It was dated to the 7th century using paleography .

Nomina sacra are made accessible; no corrections.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Alexandrian text type . Aland classified him in Category II because of his age .

The manuscript is kept in the papyrus collection of the Egyptian Museum under the signature P. 6774.
