The Paraguayan women's national handball team represents Paraguay at international matches and international tournaments in women's handball .
Paraguay first took part in the Pan American Championship in 1986 . At the Pan American Championship in 2007 Paraguay finished 4th, which was the first time to qualify for the World Cup . At the subsequent World Cup in 2007 , the women's national team won one of six games and finished penultimate. In 2013 Paraguay qualified again for the World Cup by finishing 4th at the Pan American Championship. After Paraguay lost all five preliminary round games at the 2013 World Cup , the team won two games in the Presidents Cup and finished the tournament with 21st place. By winning the bronze medal at the 2017 Pan American Championship, Paraguay qualified for the 2017 World Championship .
