Parcul Alpinet is a park in Timișoara . It is located on the left Begaufer , opposite the cathedral park .
Geographical location
The Parcul Alpinet is located in the Elisabetin district and extends between the Bega, the Podul Traian , the Podul Tinereții and the Splaiul Tudor Vladimirescu . The facility is part of the park belt that extends along the Bega.

Today's Parcul Alpinet was founded in 1924 by the architect Mihai Demetrovici. At that time it was an arboretum with numerous alpine and subalpine tree species. In the middle of the park there is the terrace “Flora”, the restaurant “Cina”, under the Trajan's Bridge the “Jazz Club 33” and on the Bega the ship “Pelican” with a restaurant.
The park extends over an area of two hectares and is terraced with numerous steps and retaining walls. The waterfront is lined with ornamental plants and trees. The park was given its current design in 1967 according to the plans of the architect Ştefan Iojică, at the same time as the cathedral park on the opposite side of the fumigation to ensure a uniform design on both banks. In 2003 the park was redesigned again by planting the promenade with magnolias .
