Parker is a city in Collin County in the US state of Texas in the United States . The city includes the world-famous Southfork Ranch , which served as the ancestral home of the Ewing family portrayed in the television series Dallas .

The city is located in northeast Texas on Farm Road 2514, near Maxwell Creek , is about 70 km to the north from Oklahoma and has a total area of 13.4 km² without any significant water surface.
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, 3,811 people in 485 households and 430 families lived here. The population density was 186 inhabitants per km². Since the last census in 2000, the town's population has more than doubled. The racial the population was composed of 90.07% White, 2.10% African American, 0.94% Native American, 1.38% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, and 3.05% other ethnic groups. About 2.39% were mixed race and 7.32% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 485 households, 33.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them. 83.5% of them were married couples living together. 3.1% were single mothers and 11.3% were non-families. 8.2% of all households were single households and there were people living in 2.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.84 and the average family size was 2.99 people.
24.6% of the population were under 18 years old, 5.4% 18 to 24, 28.2% 25 to 44, 33.6% 45 to 64, and 8.2% who were 65 years of age or older . The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females of all age groups, there were 104.3 males. For every 100 women aged 18 and over there were 100.4 men.
The median income for a household in the county is $ 101,786 , and the median income for a family is $ 108,560. Males had a median income of $ 72,344 versus $ 41,500 for females. The per capita income was $ 54,099. 2.6% of the population and 1.4% of families are below the poverty line. 1.4% of these were children and adolescents under 18 years of age and 1.3% were 65 or older.
