Parliamentary elections in Estonia in 1995

The parliamentary elections in Estonia in 1995 took place on Sunday, March 5th, 1995. It was the election for the 8th Riigikogu of the Republic of Estonia .

Electoral system

101 seats were redetermined in the Estonian parliament. The legislative period was four years. There was a five percent threshold . The election was based on proportional representation .

Election result

The block " Coalition Party and Peasant Party " was the winner . He got 32.2 percent of the vote and received 41 seats in parliament. The Estonian Reform Party (RE) landed in second place with 16.2 percent . The third strongest force was the Estonian Center Party (K) with 14.2 percent.
