The SV Mehring 1921 e. V. is a football club from Mehring in Rhineland-Palatinate on the Moselle . The club colors are blue and white.
With a 1-0 win against Sportfreunde Eisbachtal in a tie-in game for the championship in the Rhineland League , the Mehringer rose to the fifth-class Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar for the first time in the 2012/13 season . There you could keep the class in the 2012/13 season as table thirteenth. In 2014, however, they were relegated to the Rhineland League again. A year later, the Mehringern succeeded in direct promotion to the upper league, after they were able to prevail as runner-up of the Rhineland League in a relegation round against the other two runner-ups of the association leagues from the regional association Southwest. After a year in the league, in 2016 he was relegated to the sixth class Rhineland league.
The club's A-youth took part in the German championship in 1976/77 as a representative of the Rhineland Football Association : In the round of 16 they were able to achieve a 1-1 draw in the first leg against FC St. Pauli ; by a 1: 4 defeat in the second leg they were eliminated.
There is another club called SV Mehring in Mehring in the Upper Bavarian district of Altötting .
