Parliamentary elections in Lebanon 1972

The 1972 parliamentary elections in Lebanon were held between April 16 and April 30. It was the last parliamentary elections in Lebanon before the civil war ; for 20 years - until the 1992 election - there were no elections to the Assemblée nationale .

Independent candidates won the majority of the seats, although most of them were considered members of different blocs. The turnout was 54.4%. A total of 721,022 people voted.
