Parliamentary election in Italian Somaliland 1956
The parliamentary elections in Italian Somaliland and the Somalia Trust Territory were held in 1956.
The result was a clear victory for the Somali Youth League , which won 43 out of 60 seats on the Legislative Council . Ten more seats were reserved for Italians, Indians, Arabs and other non-Somali minorities.
