Sarena Parmar (born September 18, 1986 in Kelowna , British Columbia ) is a Canadian actress .

life and career

Serena Parmar was born and raised in Kelowna in the Canadian province of British Columbia . Her family is originally from Punjab , India . She then attended the National Theater School of Canada, which she graduated in 2002. After appearances in the theater, she became nationally known through her main role as Chandra Mehta in the youth series How to Be Indie - How I learn to be myself . In 2012 she starred as Audrey in the Disney Channel Original Movie Radio Rebel - Unmistakable in a leading role. In 2013, she starred as Mira in the Canadian comedy The Animal Project .
