The Partiet De Kristne (abbreviation PDK ; Nynorsk Partiet Dei Kristne ; German Party Die Christne ) is a Christian - conservative small party in Norway .
history
The party was founded on February 24, 2011 as Die Christen in Moster in Bømlo . This happened as a result of the fact that the Kristelig Folkeparti abolished the requirement for its representatives to profess the Christian faith . For Die Christians this is a big step in the "de-Christianization" of the party together with a perceived broader "de-Christianization" of all of Norway during the years of the red-green government .
The first election the party took part in was the 2011 local elections - limited to the Bømlo local council, which won 6.5% of the vote and two seats. Bømlo was selected to test support for the new party, with former Kristelig Folkeparti local politicians on their electoral list. Some members saw the founding of the party on Moster in Bømlo as symbolic, since a thousand years ago the original starting point for the Christianization of Norway by King Olav I Tryggvason was there.
Before the local elections in 2015, numerous local politicians switched from the Kristelig Folkeparti and the Fremskrittspartiet to the PDK. The party won three representatives in the election, one each in Bømlo, Vennesla and Karmøy.
