Pascal Cerrone (born June 12, 1981 in Frauenfeld ) is a former Swiss football player and current football coach .

Career

player

Cerrone began his professional career in 1999 at FC Winterthur in the National League B . In 2002 he moved to the Swiss super-league club FC Thun and made 90 appearances there in three years. From 2005 to 2007 he played for league rivals FC St. Gallen . In 2007 he moved to the Liechtenstein club FC Vaduz , with whom he was promoted to the Axpo Super League as second division champion in 2008 and then relegated bottom of the table. In 2012 he switched to the Challenge League competitor FC Wil . He left FC Wil in 2015 and moved to FC Frauenfeld, where he was also a player-coach. From 2019 he played again after a short break at FC Lerchenfeld.

Trainer

For two seasons he was player-coach at FC Frauenfeld. He then worked as a trainer for the U-21s there for a few months at FC Thun in 2017. He has been an assistant coach at FC Thun since November 2017.

National team

In 2004 Cerrone took part in the U-21 European Championship in Germany with the Swiss U-21 national team. He was not used in the preliminary round.
