Mehdi Pashazadeh (born December 27, 1973 in Tehran ) is a former Iranian football player and current coach .
Career as a player
Pashazadeh's first club was Esteghlal Tehran in his native Iran. The defensive all-rounder moved to Europe for the first time in 1998. He tried his hand at Bayer 04 Leverkusen , but the Iranian couldn't win at Leverkusen . In 1999 he then moved to SC Fortuna Köln . It was loaned to the cathedral by the Leverkusen factory club. In 2000 it went back home. Pashazadeh moved to Esteghlal Tehran. From the Iranian capital it went back to Europe. In 2003 SK Rapid Wien knocked on the door . After a relatively successful comeback season in the old continent, he was loaned to SK Sturm Graz in Styria . In January 2005 it went to VfB Admira Wacker Mödling , with whom he was relegated to the second-class first division in 2006 . After the 2006/07 season, in which he also looked after the club's second team, he ended his active career.
Career as a coach
After coaching Admira Wacker Mödling's second team, he worked as an assistant coach for the club. In 2010 he returned to Iran and coached third division club Gostaresh Foolad Sahand FC from Tabriz . In 2012 he became the coach of Parseh Tehran. He is currently coaching Shahrdari Tabriz FC, which plays in the country's second division, the Azadegan League .
National team
With the Iranian national soccer team , Pashazadeh took part in the 1998 soccer World Cup in France . He played three times, including against the USA . The Iranians were eliminated in the preliminary round.
