Pat Travers (* 12. April 1954 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian blues-rock - guitarist and singer.

biography

Pat Travers started playing guitar at the age of 12 . Pat Travers fascinated and inspired artists like Jimi Hendrix , Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton . He soon got the electric guitar he needed, in the form of a Gibson Les Paul . Travers played in bands very early on. "Red Hot" was the name of his first band.

Equipment

Pat Travers plays a 1983 double cutaway "Les Paul", including Kahler vibrato and EMG pickups. In addition to this guitar, he owns other Gibson models. At home he usually plays a pink 1986 Fender Reissue Stratocaster , which he converted to EMG pickups like the Les Paul. The Stratocaster also takes on most of the “clean sound parts” in his songs, as he likes the clean sound of the Stratocaster better than that of the Les Paul.

Most of the time Pat Travers plays a 100-watt Peavey Classic Amp. At concerts, however, a Marshall 100-watt top from the 900 series is often used.
