The Marxist papers are a political journal that has been published since November 1963 and is affiliated with the German Communist Party . They appear every two months in the Neue-Impulse-Verlag in Essen . Until the financing by the SED was canceled in 1989, they were published monthly by Marxist Blätter .

The group of editors includes the former chairman of the DKP Heinz Stehr and the current chairman Patrik Köbele . Formerly the philosopher Hans Heinz Holz was one of them. The editorial team includes Nina Hager , previously Willi Gerns (retired in 2018) and Robert Steigerwald (died 2016).

The constitution protection report lists the “Marxist sheets” as a publication assigned to the DKP in the left-wing extremism category .

The magazine is a cooperation partner of the Internet portal Linksnet .
