Patrice Martinez
Patrice Martinez (born June 12, 1963 in Albuquerque , New Mexico - † December 25, 2018 ) was an American actress who, through her appearances in ¡Three Amigos! and Zorro - The Black Avenger became known.
Life
Martinez was born in New Mexico in 1963; her father was a musician, her mother the actress Margarita Martinez. She had a brother and a sister.
In April 1987 she married the Mexican film producer Daniel Camhi (* 1960); the marriage was divorced in 1992.
Career
Having worked in amateur theater as a teenager, she moved to London after graduating from high school to become one of only three non- British students at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to become a professional actress. Ralph Fiennes and Kenneth Branagh , among others, studied with her .
She later appeared in numerous well-known cinema productions, for example in ¡Three Amigos! alongside Steve Martin and Chevy Chase or in Tim Burton's Oscar-winning Beetlejuice alongside Alec Baldwin , Geena Davis and Winona Ryder .
