Patrick Dankwa Anin (* July 27, 1928 - October 24, 1999 ) was one of the leading Ghanaian politicians. He became Ghana's Foreign Minister twice in the Second Republic in 1969.

Live and act

At the beginning of 1969, Anin succeeded John Willie Kofi Harlley during the leadership of the National Liberation Council (NLC). During the upheaval of the Presidential Commission, under the chairmanship of Akwasi Amankwaa Afrifa Anin, Ghana's Foreign Minister. Victor Owusu succeeded him in the post of Foreign Minister after just a few months . After the elections in August 1969, Anin was again replaced, this time under Prime Minister Kofi Abrefa Busia for a second short term, Foreign Minister and again by Victor Owusu in office.

This change in office holder can be explained, among other things, with the political upheaval in 1969. In October 1969, the Presidential Commission (Presidential Commission) was formed from the NCL, chaired first by Akwasi Amankwaa Afrifa and then from 1970 by Nii Amaa Ollennu. Furthermore, parliamentary elections were held on August 29, 1969, from which the future Prime Minister Kofi Abrefa Busia emerged as the winner.
