Patrick Mauriès

Patrick Mauriès (born May 16, 1952 in Saint-Raphaël ) is a French writer , journalist and literary critic.

Life

Mauriès is a graduate of the École normal supérieure de Fontenay-Saint-Cloud . In 1981 he founded the magazine Le Promeneur and helped found the art magazine FMR with Franco Maria Ricci . In addition to articles for these magazines, he also works for the French daily newspaper Liberation .

He is the author of a number of books, including Second manifeste camp (1979), a biography of the artist Piero Fornasetti (1998), the Cabinet de curiosités (2002) and Le trompe-l'oeil (1996). The last two works mentioned have also been published in German translation.

In the recent past, Mauriès has worked with Karl Lagerfeld , which resulted in other books, such as Chanel Catwalk: The Complete Karl Lagerfeld Collections and Choupette: From the life of a cat alongside Karl Lagerfeld
