Patrick McCranc (& his Royal Canaries) is a rock band from Middle Franconia .
history
The musical roots can be found with bands and artists such as Leonard Cohen , The Rolling Stones , Manic Street Preachers , Oasis , Jimmy Eat World , Jet and Mando Diao .
The former front man of Earthquake first chose "Patrick McCranc" in 2005 to name his solo acoustic rock project. In the founding year, the EP, limited to 200 copies, was recorded with five titles Better than Adam Green .
Between 2006 and 2009 the project developed into a rock 'n' roll duo with Suicide Sixpac drummer Chrissi Rakete. At the end of 2009, the studio album Are not Good as Well was recorded in a historic school building within four days.
From January 2010 a musical development took place. For the first time, the Kriegerreich bassist Pete "the Beaver" can be found on drums. From July on, Til Morning complemented the band with a three-month guest performance on bass.
Today's line-up consists of Patrick McCranc ( guitar , vocals , harmonica ), Pete “the Beaver” ( drums ) and Lé Maks ( electric bass ).
The band has performed in Germany since it was founded. a. in the Backstage Munich cultural center , the titles of their CDs were broadcast on Star FM and M94.5 . Since December 2012 Patrick McCranc has been under contract with the Munich label In Bloom Records , which distributes the current album Royal Canaries in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
