Patrick McLoughlin (Production Designer)

Patrick Jerome McLoughlin (* 20th century , † September 12, 2008 in Warminster , Wiltshire ) was a British production designer and actor.

Life

Patrick McLoughlin was active as a production designer from 1964 to 1982. In his 20-year career, he was nominated twice for an Oscar . At the 1965 Academy Awards for Becket (1965) with Maurice Carter , John Bryan and Robert Cartwright, and at the 1970 Academy Awards for Queen for a Thousand Days with Carter and Lionel Couch .

He has also worked as a production designer in films such as Alfred the Great - Vanquisher (1969) and A Girl in the Soup (1970). In addition to his work in the Art Department , he was in the television series Sir Francis Drake - The Queen's Pirate as an actor in the role of Richard Trevelyan.

He died on September 12, 2008.
