Patrick Mutuku Ivuti (born June 30, 1978 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who has specialized in the marathon in recent years .

In 1999 he finished second at the World Cross Country Championships , and at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, he finished fourth in the 10,000-meter run .

In 2002 he ran 59:45 minutes in Udine, the world's best half marathon , and at the 2003 World Cross Country Championships , he again took silver. In 2005 he finished fifth in his debut over the marathon distance at the Chicago Marathon in his best time of 2:07:46 h.

In 2007 he first came in fifth at the Rotterdam Marathon and then won in Chicago in 2:11:11 h in over 30 ° C heat, just 0.05 seconds ahead of second Jaouad Gharib .

In 2008 he won the Honolulu Marathon in 2:14:35 hours. In 2009 he set a course record at the Prague Marathon with 2:07:48 h and won again in 2:12:14 h on Honolulu.
