Patrick O'Connor (athlete)

Patrick O'Connor (born September 17, 1966 in Saint Catherine Parish ) is a former Jamaican sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

He celebrated the greatest success of his career in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the World Athletics Championships in 1991 in Tokyo. Together with Devon Morris , Winthrop Graham and Seymour Fagan , he won the bronze medal in 3: 00.10 min, behind the teams of Great Britain (2: 57.53 min) and the USA (2: 57.57 min). At the subsequent World Athletics Championships in 1993 in Stuttgart , O'Connor finished seventh in the relay.

His most important individual results include his victory in the 400-meter run at the Universiade in 1991 and his third place in the 200-meter run at the Central American and Caribbean Championships in 1989.

He achieved his personal best of 45.50 s on May 4, 1991 in Kingston .

Patrick O'Connor is 1.83 m tall and weighed 82 kg during competitions.
