Devon Morris (born January 22, 1961 in Westmoreland Parish ) is a former Jamaican sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

In 1984 in Los Angeles he took part in the Olympic Games for the first time. However, he was eliminated in the 400-meter run in the quarter-finals and in the 4-by-400-meter relay in the preliminary round. At the 1987 World Championships in Rome , he made it over 400 meters to the semi-finals, with the relay he finished sixth.

He celebrated his first major international success at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul . There the Jamaican 4 x 400 meter relay won the silver medal behind the team of the United States in the line-up Bert Cameron , Howard Davis , Winthrop Graham and Devon Morris . In the 400-meter run, Morris reached the semi-finals in Seoul.

In 1991 he achieved his best individual result when he won the 400 meter title at the World Indoor Championships in Seville . In the same year he won another medal with the relay at the World Championships in Tokyo . The Jamaican quartet led by Patrick O'Connor , Devon Morris, Winthrop Graham and Seymour Fagan took third place behind the seasons of the United Kingdom and the USA.

His last appearance at the Olympic Games was in Barcelona in 1992 . However, he did not make it to the finals either in the 400-meter run or in the relay. At the World Indoor Championships in Toronto in 1993 , he was fifth over 400 meters.

Devon Morris is 1.80 m tall and weighed 75 kg at competition times.
