Patrik Twardzik (born February 10, 1993 in Třinec ) is a Czech football player .
Career
Club player
Twardzik began in the youth of FC Sachsen Leipzig , from where he moved to the offspring of FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . After playing in the U17 there until 2008, he joined the youth team at Celtic Glasgow after another year at Hertha BSC . In 2013 he officially switched from the U20 team there to the pros. From November 2013 to January 2014 he was awarded to the Scottish second division club Livingston FC , after he had not previously come to Glasgow. He played a total of two games, one in the Scottish FA Cup and his debut in the Scottish Championship . He celebrated this on November 23, 2013, the 8th game day, when he came on for Andy Barrowman in the 78th minute . After the end of the loan return in January 2014, he stayed with Celtic again without engagement.
In the summer of 2014 Twardzik left Glasgow and was without a club until November. After returning to Germany, he rejoined his youth club in Erfurt and got a professional contract in the first team in the summer of 2015. He made his debut in the 3rd division on the 38th matchday of the 2015/16 season against Holstein Kiel. In the summer of 2016, he left Rot-Weiß to join VfB Germania Halberstadt . For the 2018/19 season he was presented as a new addition to BFC Dynamo, but the separation followed in November 2018. During the winter break he returned to Germania Halberstadt.
National player
Twardzik played for the Czech U-16 and U-17 national teams from 2008 to 2010 . In 2012 he played two more friendly matches for the U-19 national team .
family
His father René is currently the goalkeeping coach at FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . His twin brother Filip , who was under contract with him in Glasgow, and his older brother Dan are also professional footballers.
