René Twardzik (born June 25, 1970 in Trinec , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech soccer goalkeeper and today's soccer coach .

Player career

Twardzik played for TJ TŽ Třinec , Slavia Prague , Boby Brno , FC Vítkovice and SFC Opava . In 1999 he moved to the German regional league club FC Sachsen Leipzig . After a year he moved to the league competitor Rot-Weiß Erfurt . With this he rose in 2004 to the 2nd Bundesliga . After the direct relegation he returned to Saxony Leipzig. In 2008 he ended his career.

Coaching career

From July 2010 to January 2020 he was goalkeeping coach at Rot-Weiß Erfurt .

Others

Twardzik stayed in Germany after his career. He is married, his sons Dan and the twins Filip and Patrik are also professional footballers.
