Dan Twardzik (born April 13, 1991 in Třinec ) is a German football goalkeeper .

Career

Born in Czechoslovakia and raised in Germany , Twardzik began playing football in the youth department of FC Sachsen Leipzig . From 2001 to 2005 he was active for FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt before playing the next four seasons with FC Bayern Munich and one with Karlsruher SC . As a youth A player, he moved up to the second team of KSC for the 2009/10 season and played seven point games in the fourth-class Regionalliga Süd . He made his debut on August 8, 2009 (1st matchday) in a 1-1 away game against SC Pfullendorf . During the season he was also active in the U-19 Bundesliga in the South / Southwest relay for the A youth team. In the following season he played 15 point games for the second team in the Regionalliga Süd.

In December 2011 he moved to Como Calcio and played seven point games in two seasons in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione , the third highest Italian division. For the second half of the 2012/13 season he was obliged by the Scottish first division club FC Aberdeen , but was under contract from January to August, in no league game used. For the 2013/14 season he was signed by the Scottish second division club FC Dundee and remained without a league game , after which he was given on loan to the first division club FC Motherwell . He made his point game debut in the Scottish Premiership on December 14, 2013 (16th matchday) in a 2-1 win in the away game against Ross County over 90 minutes. After completing five league games, he returned to Dundee FC and played two league games before being tied to the first division FC Motherwell until 30 June 2016 for the 2014/15 season . He played his two international club games with his team in the second qualifying round for participation in the Europa League against UMF Stjarnan from Iceland. Before his contract expired, he moved to Czech third division club FK Viktoria Žižkov in January 2016 - in the current 2015/16 season - for whom he was not used as the third goalkeeper. During the winter break of the 2017/18 season he moved to VSG Altglienicke in the Regionalliga Nordost .

He made his debut for a DFB selection on December 16, 2008 for the U-18 national team in a 2-2 game against the Romanian selection . He played his last international match two days later in a 5-2 win over the Finnish U-18 national team .

Twardzik was born as the oldest of three children. His father René Twardzik is a former soccer player and has been a goalkeeping coach at FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt since 2010 . His two younger twin brothers Patrik and Filip (* 1993) are also soccer players.
