Filip Twardzik (born February 10, 1993 in Třinec ) is a Czech football player . In addition to Czech citizenship, he also has German citizenship.
He is the twin brother of Patrik who is also a professional footballer. His older brother Dan played as a goalkeeper for Motherwell FC from 2013-2015 . The father, René Twardzik , played as a goalkeeper for some time in Germany for Sachsen Leipzig and Rot-Weiß Erfurt .
Career

Filip Twardzik was born in Třinec , part of the Moravian-Silesian Region . Together with his twin brother Patrik , he started playing soccer at Sachsen Leipzig , because the father of the two was playing in the Oberliga Nordost at the club from the Leutzsch district of Leipzig . From 2007 he played for a year at FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt and then for Hertha BSC . In February 2009 Filip signed a long-term contract with Celtic Glasgow together with Patrik . After playing mainly in youth for two years, Filip Twardzik made his debut in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup against FC Peterhead in January 2012 when he was substituted on for Giorgos Samaras . He made his debut in the Scottish Premier League in April of the same year against FC Kilmarnock after being substituted on for team captain Scott Brown . After six years in the Celtic jersey, the midfielder joined Bolton Wanderers in England in January 2015 .
On July 26, 2017, Twardzik moved to the Fotbalová národní liga , the 2nd division in the Czech Republic for MFK Vítkovice . He made his debut on matchday 3 in a 1-1 draw against 1. SC Znojmo on August 11, 2017. For the 2018/19 season, the Slovak first division club MFK Ružomberok signed him .
National team
Filip Twardzik made his debut in the Czech U-16s in September 2008. With the U-17 he took part in the U-17 European Championship in 2010 . In 2011 he was used for the first time in the U-19.
