Pattamundai is a city in the east Indian state of Odisha .
Pattamundai is located on the coastal plain in the Kendrapara district . The city is located 70 km west of Cuttack and only 20 km from the coast of the Bay of Bengal . The Brahmani River flows north of the city.
The Odisha trunk road 9A leads from Pattamundai to the district capital Kendrapara 17 km to the southwest .
Pattamundai was raised to a municipality in 2014 by a Notified Area Council . At the 2011 census, Pattamundai had 36,528 residents.
