Paul Nicolás Aguilar Rojas (born March 6, 1986 in Concordia , Sinaloa ) is a Mexican football player who is used in defense , but also repeatedly intervenes successfully in the attack.

Aguilar grew up in northwest Mexico; an area where baseball is sometimes more popular than soccer. Young Aguilar was also an avid baseball player until he discovered his love for football at the age of twelve. At the age of 16 he moved to Pachuca de Soto to play in the youth teams of CF Pachuca . With this club he received his first professional contract in 2005 and made his debut on August 6, 2006 in a game against Cruz Azul (2: 3) in the Mexican Primera División .

With Pachuca he was the Mexican Clausura champion in 2007 ( 2006/07 season ) as well as three times winner of the CONCACAF Champions' Cup in 2007 , 2008 and 2010 . In 2008 he was also used in the games for the FIFA Club World Cup .

He won another three championship titles with Club America .

National team

He made his debut in the Mexican national team on September 30, 2009 in a game against Colombia (1: 2), in which he immediately scored his first international goal. In his second international match against Bolivia (5-0) on February 24, 2010, he scored his second international goal.
