L. Franz Paul Baege (born November 25, 1876 in Jeßnitz ; † November 2, 1938 in Dessau ) was a German teacher, author and local poet from Anhalt.

Life

He was the son of the businessman Hermann Baege and his wife Marie nee Picht. His brother, one year older, was the private scholar Max Hermann Baege .

Paul Baege grew up in Anhalt and attended the preschool of the Francke Foundations in Halle / Saale. Then he switched to the XII. District school to Leipzig and then to the teachers' seminar in Cöthen .

He then worked as a teacher in the town of Radegast from 1908 . He was headmaster there until his retirement in 1933. He last lived in Dessau-Roßlau , where he also died. He wrote poems and stories mostly in Anhalt dialect and also wrote a few plays. In addition, he worked as a local researcher from Anhalt. After his death in 1938 he was buried in the Radegast cemetery.

family

In 1904 he married Agnes, the daughter of the businessman Deutschbein. The children Wally (* 1905), Annemarie (* 1906) and Alice (* 1907) emerged from their marriage.
