Paul Berke-Müller

Paul Berke-Müller (* 1928 in Wernigerode ; † July 1, 1984 in Hanover ) was head of the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office from 1983 until his death .

Life

Berke-Müller, who was born in the Harz Mountains, was drafted to Cuxhaven as a naval helper shortly before the end of the Second World War . In 1947 he joined the Lower Saxony police in Braunschweig and was taken over by the criminal police in the same year . In 1959 he became head of the LKA Lower Saxony, whose director he was appointed on July 1, 1983. Exactly a year later he died of heart failure.

From the 4th edition (1971), Berke-Müller took over the work on the commentary on the code of criminal procedure for criminal and police officers, justified by Georg Schulz; after his death the work was continued by Konrad Handel .
