Paul Busse-Grawitz

Paul Busse-Grawitz , Spanish Pablo Busse Grawitz , (born June 21, 1900 in Greifswald , † June 24, 1983 in Cordoba ) was a German physician .

Busse was the son of Lotte Grawitz and the pathologist Otto Busse . His grandfather was the pathologist Paul Grawitz .

From 1922 he studied medicine at the University of Greifswald and the University of Zurich . He then worked as a ship doctor for the German merchant navy. When his ship docked in Argentina for the second time in 1926 , Busse stayed in that country. He came to Cordoba because of mountaineering. In 1927 the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba recognized his license to practice medicine . During his studies in Cordoba, he worked as a doctor on duty in the Italian hospital. During his work he noticed frequent diseases of the digestive organs. He developed a method of treatment for single-cell parasites .

In 1939 the University of Berlin awarded him the title of Professor hc. On January 5, 1946, he opened a sanatorium for nutritional issues "Sanatorio Dietético Serrano Diquecito"

In 1960 he was awarded the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Animal experiments in 1974 could not confirm a thesis advocated by Busse-Grawitz, which states that leukocytes of the cornea originate from collagenous and elastic fibers (subcoccus-sized transitional forms).
