Paul Christian Nicolaus Lembcke

Paul Christian Nicolaus Lembcke , also Lembke (* 1759 in Lübeck ; † 1848 ) was a German lawyer and procurator in Lübeck.

Life

Lembke was the youngest son of from Wismar coming in Lübeck merchant Martin Lembke (* July 7, 1710 in Wismar, † 10 July 1760 in Lübeck) and his wife Maria, born Tesdorpf (born September 9, 1719 in Lübeck; † December 7, 1795), a daughter of Peter Hinrich Tesdorpf . The mayor of Lübeck Gabriel Christian Lembke his older brother. He studied law from Michaelis 1779 in Göttingen (as Einträger from Wismar ... Stammbuch Johann Gerhard Lorentz 1781 in the city archive of Göttingen), appeared as a respondent at the University of Jena in 1784 , where he received his doctorate in both rights. In 1784 he became a lawyer and court procurator in Lübeck. As a lawyer he published on issues of bankruptcy law and family law . In 1802 he was one of the founders of the seaside resort of Travemünde .

Lembke was the hereditary lord of the smaller Lutterstorf family estate in the Grevesmühlen district and thus a (civil) member of the Mecklenburg knighthood. He was one of the four directors of the Parcham Foundation , whose chronicle he wrote , for 50 years .

A year before his death, he was awarded the highest honor of the Lübeck state, the commemorative coin Bene Merenti .
