Paul Cibis (* 20th century ) is a German concert pianist . He is the brother of Robert Cibis .

Life

Paul Cibis was taught by Kumiko Udagawa-Watzinger in Lippstadt and then studied piano in Hanover with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling ; studies in musicology and philosophy at universities in Berlin and London followed. From 1998 to 2002 he worked as a private student with Peter Feuchtwanger in London; since 2002 he has been his assistant. In addition, he regularly gives master classes for pianists in Germany, China, South Korea and Taiwan.

From 2001 to 2003 Paul Cibis completed his training in song accompaniment with Graham Johnson and Robin Bowman at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. In master classes and private lessons etc. a. With Hartmut Höll , Irwin Gage , Sarah Walker , Christa Ludwig , Thomas Hampson and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf , he rounded off his training as a song pianist. From 2005 to 2009 Paul Cibis worked as a vocal coach at Trinity College of Music in London; He also gives song masterclasses at the Academy for Performing Arts in Hong Kong and the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, China.

Pianist Paul Cibis has made music in numerous radio and television recordings for various broadcasters at home and abroad. Concert tours have taken him to festivals in Germany, France, Great Britain, the USA, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand with solo and duo programs. In the last few years he has been frequently engaged in Asia, where he a. was heard in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing.

As a song pianist, Paul Cibis often works with the singer Eva Meier . He also performs the concert format Piano Battle worldwide together with Andreas Kern .
