Paul Drechsel (born September 20, 1888 in Planitz , † July 31, 1953 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending school, Drechsel was trained at the agricultural school in Chemnitz . From 1909 to 1911 he was a member of the 7th Royal Saxon Field Artillery Regiment No. 77 in Leipzig. He then worked as an agricultural official in Saxony, Thuringia and Hesse. At the First World War he took from 1914 to 1918 as a sergeant in the 2nd Thuringian Field Artillery Regiment. 55 in part and was awarded the Iron Cross awarded II. Class.

Drechsel was involved in the Nazi movement from 1924. He was first local group leader in Planitz. In 1930 he took over his first public office as a city councilor in Planitz. From 1933 to 1942 he was a district farmer leader in Zwickau . For the party press he wrote the combat brochures Your Way , Who Helps, the Iron Front or Adolf Hitler? and thus work is created .

From November 1933 until the end of the Nazi regime in spring 1945, Drechsel was a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 30 (Chemnitz-Zwickau) . In the SS he reached the rank of Hauptsturmführer in 1943.
