Paul Eichholtz

Johann Paul Richard Werner Eichholtz (born December 19, 1843 in Lauenburg in Pomerania , † June 12, 1875 in Berlin ) was a German high school teacher and classical philologist .

Paul Eichholtz attended high school in Stolp . From 1862 he studied in Bonn , Berlin and Halle and received his doctorate in Halle in 1867. From 1868 until his early death caused by a stroke , he taught at the Gymnasium zum Grauen Kloster in Berlin.

In addition to his teaching activities, Paul Eichholtz mainly dealt with the ballads by Ludwig Uhland . He was co-editor of the collected little writings of August Boeckh .
