Thomas Paul Gleeson (born March 31, 1880 in St. Louis , Missouri , † November 26, 1956 in Richmond Heights , Missouri) was an American tennis player .

biography

Paul Gleeson entered the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis in men's doubles with his German partner Hugo Hardy . Hardy was the only tennis player in the Games who was not from the United States . The duo lost their first round game and was eliminated.

In the following years he played a few more regional tournaments and four years later won the Central States championships in doubles with Drummond Jones . He also reached the finals in the individual, but lost there. In 1909 he joined Orien Vernon and reached the final again, where they defeated the double Jones and Charles Peters.
