Paul Goalabre (born September 26, 1991 ) is a French cross-country skier .

Career

Goalabre competed in junior races until 2011. He won the U20 overall ranking in the 2010/11 season. Since 2011 he has mainly taken part in the Alpine Cup. He came on the podium for the first time in March 2011 with second place in the 10 km freestyle in Ramsau am Dachstein . After third place in the 10 km freestyle at the beginning of the 2011/12 season at the Alpencup in Pokljuka , he came second in the skiathlon in Zwiesel and took his first win in the sprint in the Alpencup. He finished the season in sixth place overall. At the beginning of the following season he came back on the podium with third place in the 10 km freestyle in Goms . He made his first appearance in the cross-country world cup at the Tour de Ski 2012/13 , where he was able to get his first world cup points in Val Müstair with the 28th place in the sprint. In the 2013/14 season he clinched three wins and a second place in the Alpine Cup and thus won the overall standings at the end of the season. At the U23 World Championships in 2014 in Val di Fiemme , he won silver in the sprint. In the following season he also won three Alpine Cups. In addition, he came second and third once and won the overall standings as in the previous year. In the 2016/17 season he took third, second and first place in the Alpine Cup and achieved sixth place in the overall ranking.
