Paul Herbert Fritz Harpe (born July 2, 1902 in Angermünde , † December 10, 1983 in Duisburg ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending the Realgymnasium in Angermünde from 1908 to 1919, the Realgymnasium at the Parkaue in Lichtenberg and the Jahn-Realgymnasium in Lichtenberg, Paul Harpe earned his living as a farmer and employee.

In autumn 1922 Harpe became a member of the NSDAP for the first time. In March 1926, barely a year after the party was re-admitted after its temporary ban, he rejoined it. As a functionary, Harpe successively took over tasks as propaganda warden (1926–1930) and local group leader of the Lichtenberg local group, as district leader (1931) of the East Berlin district, district inspector of the East Berlin inspection (1932) and district organization manager of the Greater Berlin district (1933). From 1934 he finally acted as party liaison leader in the Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda with the rank of Reich Leader. He was head of the construction department of the German Labor Front as well as the Reichsbetriebsgemeinschaft wood.

After having been a member of the Prussian Landtag from 1932 until the dissolution of this body in autumn 1933 , he sat in the National Socialist Reichstag from November 1933 until the end of Nazi rule in spring 1945 as a member of constituency 2 (West Berlin) . In addition, Harpe had been a member of the city council in the Lichtenberg district office since April 1933.
