Paul Heinrich von Blankenfelde (* around 1460 in Berlin ; † 1532 ) was a Berlin merchant and mint master .

Life

Paul Heinrich von Blankenfelde comes from the Berlin patrician and councilor family Blankenfelde , from which a total of seven Berlin mayors emerged. His father is the Berlin Mayor Thomas von Blankenfelde .

In 1474 he was enrolled at Leipzig University .

In the years 1497, 1505, 1507, 1510, 1512 and 1514 he was councilor in Berlin. He was feudal lord of Pankow and Weißensee.

In 1510 he became mint master of Elector Joachim I of Brandenburg.

In 1514 he was feuding with Lübeck and transferred his property to his brother Wilhelm (Wilke) d. J. and left Berlin. It was not until 1523 that the dispute with Lübeck was settled by King Christian of Denmark .

Blankenfelde was married to Benigna Buchholz († 1531), daughter of councilor Christian Buchholz (1415-1491) from Frankfurt (Oder) . His daughter Barbara († May 18, 1564) married the publisher Martin Luther , Christian Döring ; his daughter Margaretha († 1535) married Kilian Goldstein , Professor of Law in Wittenberg .
